Alan Hix

I am a life-long resident of Harmony, NC, a 1966 graduate of Harmony High School, and a 1970 graduate of North Carolina State University with a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering. After college, I entered the US Air Force as an officer in the Communications Service where I rose to the rank of Captain with duty assignments at the Squadron, Wing, and Headquarters levels of operation.

After 7+ years of service in the US Air Force, I returned to NC and entered the field of Furniture Management. I served with various companies as Plant engineer, Special Process Engineer, Corporate Senior Process Engineer, Plant Manager, Engineering Manager, VP of Engineering and Manufacturing. My technical experience in the design and manufacture of machinery lead me to opportunities in sales and customer service. I have a broad knowledge of the woodworking industry ranging from the Rough Mill to Finishing and Final Assembly. I look forward to working with you to meet your particular manufacturing needs.

As of August 2005, my former partner, Doug Huizenga, decided to return to his family home in Michigan to pursue other interests. I have purchased 100% of his interest in Machinery Masters Corporation, and I look forward to further expanding our services to help our customers and prospects. I wish Doug and his family all the best.

Our Purpose and Goals

Our goal at Machinery Masters Corporation is to make new and late model used woodworking, metalworking, and plastics machinery available to all our customers at affordable prices. Our unique relationship with Lenders allows us to offer repossessed machinery at a fraction of the new cost. Leasing for both New and Used machinery will be available. Purchases up to $100,000 can be handled with a simple one-page application.  

Machinery Masters  maintains a highly automated information system. Our website will be updated continuously. As a service to our customers, we will advertise and sell their excess machinery FREE of CHARGE. A machinery listing will be prepared with complete specifications, photos, and pricing. We will handle all aspects of the sale including inspections and transportation. Your machine listing will be seen by thousands of people every month with no out of pocket cost or other obligation.  

In the new equipment lines, we are proud to offer MachMASTER Hydraulic Cold Presses. Any size, any configuration, and any pressure range are available at an affordable price. If the need is for a standard veneer press, plywood press, melamine press or a special application press, SENNERSKOV makes it, and Machinery Masters is proud to represent them all over North America.

The Sales staff offers 60 years of combined experience in the Woodworking, Metalworking, and Plastics Industries. This is not just sales experience but Design Engineering, Manufacturing, Plant Layout, and Material Handling. This is real “hands-on” experience.  With Machinery Masters, the sales process starts with listening to the customer’s needs, applications, and budget guidelines and culminates with a manufacturing solution tailored to meet those parameters.
